Minority leader and lawmaker for Effutu is presently in Abuja, Federal Republic of Nigeria, attending the 2026 First Ordinary Session of the ECOWAS Parliament, Sixth Legislature, which convenes from 4th to 17th May 2026.
He is attending in his capacity as Third Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
The Session is attended by representatives from across the member states of ECOWAS and is devoted to matters of pressing concern to the peoples of West Africa, including the protection of citizens engaged in cross-border trade, the security of West African nationals abroad and the strengthening of regional frameworks that uphold the dignity, safety and freedom of movement of all ECOWAS citizens.
He remained firmly committed to the principles of the ECOWAS Treaty and to the vision of a West Africa in which every citizen may live, trade and move freely and without fear.
