The Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry has received renewed commitment from the Japan International Corporation Agency(JICA) to deepen cooperation with Ghana in support of the country’s industrial transformation and 24-Hour Economy initiative.
This was made known when the Deputy Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Hon. Sampson Ahi, received the Chief Representative of JICA in Ghana, Mr. Uchiyama Takayuki, at the Ministry in Accra on behalf of the Sector Minister, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare.
During the meeting, Mr. Uchiyama expressed appreciation to the Government of Ghana and the Ministry for what he described as a long-standing and productive partnership between both sides.
He reaffirmed JICA’s continued commitment to supporting Ghana’s development priorities, particularly efforts aimed at boosting industrial growth, improving productivity, and advancing the 24-Hour Economy framework.
He noted that JICA remains committed to working closely with Ghanaian institutions to promote sustainable economic transformation through targeted technical cooperation and development assistance.
The Deputy Minister, on behalf of the Sector Minister , welcomed the assurance and reiterated government’s determination to strengthen collaboration with development partners in advancing trade facilitation, agribusiness development, and industrial modernization.
