The Vice President of Ghana, H.E. Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has paid a working visit to the Ministry of Interior to assess its recent work and challenges on Monday, 13th July, 2026.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang, in her speech highlighted that, public education is key to effective law enforcement and must be done in the interest of the people.
She urged Security Services to communicate the benefits of laws being enforced and to attach sanctions to deter violations.
Present at this meeting were the Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed Mubarak; his Deputy, Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi; the Director General of Prisons, Mrs. Patience Baffoe Bonnie (Esq.), Heads of other Security Agencies; and Representatives of the National Peace Council, the National Commission on Small Arms and Light Weapons, the Gaming Commission, and the National Identification Authority, among others.
