Kwadwo Odame Antwi, the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Development Company (GTDC) has urged the New Patriotic Party delegates who will be choosing Parliamentary candidates in the Party’s June 20 Primaries to consider fresh aspirants and rejects people who have served before as Members of Parliament and Assembly Chief Executives.
Mr. Odame Antwi, who is contesting the Lower West Akyem Constituency NPP seat with former MP, Gifty Klenam, and Former MCE, Kwabena Sentim Aboagye, commended them for their dedicated service during their tenure in office and urged delegates to consider him to be the candidate for December elections.
The CEO, who is also in the race with an Engineer and Businessman, Charles Antwi and Kwadwo Asamoah, was optimistic about winning the seat to bring new policies and programs for all people in the area without discrimination.
Speaking to delegates on Thursday, Mr. Odame Antwi was disappointed in the high level of unemployment rate among the Youth in the area and vowed to address it when given the nod and pledged to make to the develop the constituency to become one of the top ten in Ghana.
Mr. Odame said he will develop potential Tourists Attraction areas and support farmers with farming inputs to increase production and create jobs.
Kwadwo Odame Antwi, the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Development Company hails from Osenase in the Eastern Region of Ghana. He attained his Second and first degrees from the University of Ghana Business School and GIMPA Greenhill College respectively.
Preceding his university education, he studied Purchasing and Supply Management from the Koforidua Technical University and committed himself to acquire a plethora of skills and abilities that have brought him this far in life and continue to catapult him to be on top of his performance.
Before joining the GTDC, Kwadwo Antwi was the Head of Business Development and Strategy at Ghana Union Assurance.
Kwadwo Odame Antwi is married with six children and a lover of the Arts and Sports, especially tennis and golf.
