Former Hearts of Oak striker, Kwame Kizito has been ruled out for the rest of the season after picking up a serious knee injury in Falkenberg FF’s game against his former club BK Hacken.
Kizito, a member of the 2017 WAFU Cup winning team tore his cruciate ligament in the 69th minute and had to be replaced by Nsima Peter.
The striker suffered both a cross band and meniscus damage after having a successful scan.
“He injured the front cruciate ligament and meniscus on the outside of the knee. Now surgery is first awaited and then rehabilitation for eight to twelve months. Unfortunately, Kwame Kizito misses the rest of the season. He is sad and does not want to speak in the media” said Sverker Nilsson, the clubs team doctor.
The former Hearts of Oak striker joined Falkenberg during the winter transfer window and was making his debut last night.
