The Eastern Regional Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Jeff Konadu Addo has sent a strong warning to the biggest opposition party in the country, National Democratic Congress (NDC) not to come between the Electoral Commission’s efforts to register Ghanaians in the upcoming voters registration exercise.
The Electoral Commission (EC) has set Tuesday, June 30, to compile a new voters’ register for the presidential and parliamentary elections in December 2020.
Jeff Konadu in a media briefing disclosed how prepared they are for the new voters register as he strongly believes the NPP through the president, Nana Akuffo Addo are putting in place proper social policies in making sure that Ghanaians enjoy a better life.
“I am signing a word of caution from the Eastern Regional branch of the NPP to the NDC who have planned to disrupt the registration exercise that we will make sure that the laws are being used to help the EC organize a successful voter’s register in the region. If they bring any misunderstanding we will not understand. As long as EC is going by the laws of the country we will also support it” he indicated.
“We have heard the incompetent John Mahama saying that he will cancel free SHS when given the mandate again. So I am pleading with parents to engage themselves in the upcoming registration and register their names so they can protect their wards from bad intentions from Mahama”
“Whiles we register we should make sure that we vote massively for the NPP and Nana Akuffo Addo for him to continue the good work he is doing for the country. When we can give him the bod again, it means the free SHS program will continue to function” he said.
He has therefore commended all and sundry who contributed massively towards the success of the parliamentary primaries elections in the region.
Mr. Konadu again clamored for peace and unity among winners and losers of the elections in the quest to prosecute the party’s 2020 agenda
