The Headteacher of the KNUST Senior High School has been suspended by the Ghana Education Service following the death of a student in the school.
In a statement by the Public Relation Officer of GES, Cassandra Twum Ampofo, asked the headmistress, Felicia Asamoah Dankwaa, to hand over to the Ashanti regional Education directorate immediately.
A male student of the school was reportedly ignored by authorities after he complained of stomach ache. Sources say teachers refused to attend to him over fears they will contract COVID-19. The deceased is not to have the virus. The student was confirmed dead after his colleagues rushed him to the hospital.
