Chief Executive Officer of Medeama Sporting Club, James Essilfie has confirmed Samuel Appiah imminent transfer to Asante Kotoko.
An earlier report in the media suggested that the porcupine warriors has written to Medeama to express interest in signing Samuel Appiah and Richard Boadu ‘Agadas’ from the club in the on-going transfer window.
The Kumasi based club is currently making plans for the 2020/21 CAF Champions League after they were selected by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) following the truncation of the 2019/20 football season.
However, the CEO of the Tarkwa based outfit says Samuel Appiah’s proposed move to Kotoko is almost done.
“For Samuel Appiah, we are still in talks with Kotoko. I must be frank, we are satisfied with the amount quoted by Kotoko and I must commend them. I can say Appiah’s move is almost 95%”
“If Kotoko is unable to add the 5% we won’t allow him to join them but it is our wish to accept the offer so he can be happy,” he said.
