The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Ghana National Fire Service, Ellis Okoe Robinson has revealed that lack of knowledge in illegal connection leads to a fire outbreak in the various market centres.
According to him, there are a lot of illegal connections in the various market centres across the country.
Mr Ellis Robinson continued that the majority of the market women prepared food in the market centres.
Speaking to DadiFM’s “Efa Wo Ho” morning show host, Abena Opokua Ahwenee, Mr Ellis Robinson cautioned Ghanaians to be vigilant in using their home appliances this festive season.
“Lack of servicing gas cylinder also caused fire outbreak,’’ Mr Ellis Robinson advised.
He further cautioned Ghanaian to avoid overloading sockets in order to prevent fire outbreaks.
