Newly signed Karela United forward Maxwell Boakye is optimistic about the club’s chances of winning the Ghana Premier League this season.
The 27-year-old joins the Anyinase based club from lower-tier side Bibiani Gold Stars on a free transfer.
Karela United who are chasing a first league title in their history see the arrival of the creative midfielder as a boost to their chances of success.
The Anyinase based club has been outstanding in the ongoing season and is currently occupying sit 1st position with 21 points after 12 matches.
However, the former Hearts of Oak and Bibiani Gold Stars top marksman believes his outfit is the clear favourite for the title and has promised to give his all in order to help them clinch the title.
“I believe Karela United will win the league. I’m 100% sure because the team have got quality. People may argue about it but I believe my club is ready for something” he told S.K Ntim of Bryt FM in Koforidua.
“The motivation in the team is high so I hope to do my best for the club to achieve our dream,” he said.
