Ghana has recorded 22 new COVID-19 related Deaths from 8th to 9th February 2021, bringing the total number to 518.
The Country has also confirmed 771 new cases and a total of 109 others are also in severe condition and 28 in critical condition.
The total number of COVID-19 Active cases as of 9th February 2021 stands at 7,754.
Ghana Health Service Report indicates that 66,846 patients have recovered since March 2020 out of the 75,118 confirmed cases.
The number of tests conducted so far is 827,784.
The Government of Ghana is spending over 200 million dollars to procure the COVID-19 vaccine for the entire population.
Director of Public Health at the Ghana Health Service (GHS), Dr. Franklin Asiedu-Bekoe, said the price of the vaccine available presently ranged from $4 to $20 and that would be the cost at which every Ghanaian would be vaccinated.
He said that the first consignment of the vaccine would arrive in the country by the end of February.
