A retired Educationist of the Ghana Education Service, Mr. Prince Osei Tutu has called on the Government and the Ministry of Education to revisit the introduction of Comprehensive Sexuality Education in Basic School to teach pupils on the effects of Homosexuality to join the fight against its legalization in Ghana.
According to him, the Comprehensive Sexuality Education policy was not bad for pupils but due to the lack of education and broader stakeholder’s consultation, it was suspended.
Mr. Prince Osei Tutu who is currently a member of the New Patriotic Party Communication Team in Lower West Akyem Constituency in the Eastern Region told Asamankese base Nkunim FM that the Comprehensive Sexuality Education policy was suspended due to the politicization and said it is time to revisit it and hold stakeholders meeting for its implementation.
He said most parents are failing to teach their kids who are graduating from Adolescent age to Young Adults on sexual matters and said most children are lost in life due to this.
Mr. Osei Tutu said Ghanaians should stop pointing fingers at the Political leaders of the Country and join hands to join the fight against the legalization of Homosexuality in the Country.
He noted that the issue of Homosexuality is not new in Ghana under the Akufo-Addo administration but it is existing secretly and called on Ghanaians to expose those involved to fight the menace and stressed the need to amend the 1992 Constitution and reduce the powers of the President to allow the Security Agencies to clamp down immoral activities in the country.
Mr. Osei Tutu noted that most of the Security Agencies are failing to deal with people involved in immoral acts such as Homosexuality due to political interference and dependency of Developed Countries.
