The National Road Safety Authority (NRSA) has affirmed its commitment to ensure safety on our roads across the country.
The Authority, has, however, urged road users as well as the general public to support in the fight against numerous carnage on our various roads.
Eastern Regional Manager of the Authority, Mr. Abdullai Bawa Ghamsah, who disclosed this on Bryt FM news stressed that his outfit is not happy with recent incidents of road accidents despite the hard work of the Authority and other stakeholders.
He added, the Authority, with support of the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD), has trained drivers and other road users and is however optimistic that it will have positive results in the coming days.
“You see, we are in the harmattan season so drivers should always be careful on our roads, especially where there are fogs to prevent road accidents” Mr. Ghamsah advised.
Mr. Bawa Ghamsah also retreated; the Authority in collaboration with other stakeholders will soon ensure laws on our roads are enforced, to serve as deterrent to others.
Ghana, experienced many road accidents last year taking the lives of many Ghanaians and also injuring many others which is a threat to the country’s workforce.
About 34 persons also died on the spot at Dompoase in the Central Region last week in a fatal accident injuring many others.
