The Former Minister of Communication under John Dramani Mahama-led government Dr. Edward Omane Boamah has called on the rank and file of the opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC, to ask critical questions bothering their minds if needed, to shake off pains and calm down tempers afterward.
He urged supporters of the party to surge forward in dignity, and perseverance and never to allow repetition of past mistakes.
He said the party must organize not agonize in these difficult times.
“The morning after…I urge you to shake off your hurt if you were hurt, lift your spirit from the valley of the shadow of death, and ask critical questions if you need to.”

There is anger in the NDC following the approval of some Ministers designate particularly those in charge of security.
The anger has been worsened by the Supreme Court ruling Thursday which dismissed the 2020 Presidential Election petition Instituted by the 2020 Presidential Candidate of the NDC John Dramani Mahama.
The Information Minister Designate – Kojo Oppong Nkrumah escaped rejection by Parliament after securing 155 Yes votes as against 110 No votes in a secret Balloting held last night to determine the approval of three Ministerial-nominees who were initially rejected by the Minority side on the Appointments Committee.
The others -Fisheries and Aqua Culture Minister-designate Hawa Koomson secured 161 yes votes with 104 No votes. Agric Minister-designate Dr. Afriyie Akoto had 143 Yes votes and 121 No votes.
A total of 265 Members of Parliament made up of all 137 MPs in the majority NPP side were present as against 10 NDC sides that were absent.
Before the votes, the Minority Members withdrew their consent for the approval of the three security sector ministers-designate -Kan Dapaah, for National Security, Dominic Nitiwul for Defence, and Ambrose Dery for Interior citing their alleged roles in the Ayawaso by-election violence and the killings of unarmed NDC supporters during the 2020 Presidential and Parliamentary election.
At a caucus meeting Wednesday which lasted for over 2 hours, the NDC caucus resolved to withdraw their consent for the consensus approval of the three Security Ministers.
On the floor of Parliament last night, the NDC caucus stated that people should be mindful of the blatant abuse of security power since it could jeopardize the peace of the country.
