A suspected thief believed to be in his 30’s has been lynched by an unknown mob in Bibiani Estate K-Line in Western North Region.
Some residents told Bryt FM Correspondent Hamza Mohammed that, the suspect was caught red-handed stealing flat-screen TV and motorbikes in someone’s house at around 2:00am.
He was stripped naked, beaten to a pulp, and dragged on the street.
The action has been hailed by residents who say theft and burglary are on the rise in the community creating insecurity.
The Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Police Divisional Crime Officer Superintendent Seth Sawornu confirmed that the body of the deceased has been conveyed to the Bibiani Government Hospital mortuary for more preservation while the investigation continues.
