A court in Guinea has sentenced an opposition activist to three years in prison for organising protests against President Alpha Condé.
Oumar Sylla, known as Foniké Mengué, was found guilty of illegal assembly and spreading false information.
Last year, Mr Condé, who was 82 at the time, pushed through legislation to get around Guinea’s two-term limit for presidents.
His controversial re-election fuelled demonstrations in which dozens of people were killed by the security forces.
