Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has admonished Ghanaians to stay off from telenovelas since it has no bearing in Ghana’s culture.
Mr. Bagbin made this known at the launch of a book by former first deputy speaker Ken Dzirasah titled Defining Moments, a Trip from the Village to Parliament and beyond.
Mr. Bagbin however charged the people of Ghana to read the book to protect the image of the country instead of spending their time on such series.
He added that the telenovelas of today on our television sets are figments of imagination, from the cultures they originated from which have developed into storylines, and thus they have no contribution to our culture.
