Dreams FC captain Maxwell Arthur is convinced referee Doh Morrison Eso was responsible for his side defeat at the hands of Hearts of Oak in match day 7 of the Ghana Premier League.
Arthur was quick to criticize the standard of refereeing after Dreams FC fell to a 1-0 defeat against Hearts of Oak at the theater of Dreams, Dawu.
According to him, he thought the center referee got it wrong after failing to award them with a penalty in the dying embers of the game.
The captain felt his side should have been awarded a late penalty as Eric Gawu was brought down by Mohammed Alhassan.
“I’m very disappointed with the referee because our last chance was a clear penalty”
“I’m very ashamed of the referees. Seriously, they didn’t force for us at all” he said at the post-match conference.
He said it is unfortunate that his side lost at home but says they are going back to correct their mistakes and come back stronger in subsequent games.
“We have lost to Hearts here and so, we are going to Dansoman for the three maximum points” he added.
He then pleaded with the fans of the club after their painful defeat at home to Hearts of Oak.
