The Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) George Akufo Dampare has made some changes in the Public Affairs Directorate of the Police Service.
The changes took immediate effect from August 1, 2021.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Kwesi Ofori, In-charge of Operations, Greater Accra Region, has been moved to Director-General of Public Affairs at the Police Headquarters.
Superintendent Mrs. Sheilla Kessie Abayie-Buckman has been moved to the Eastern Region to be in charge of the Judicial Police in the Eastern Region.
According to a circular signed by the IGP, Dr. Akuffo Dampare sighted by mybrytfmonline.com, also indicated that Superintendent Alexander Kwaku Obeng, in charge of the MTTD Headquarters has been reshuffled to become Director at the Public Affairs Department whilst Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mrs. Elizabeth Effia Tenge, in-charge of Accra Public Affairs moves to Volta Region as Head of Public Affairs.
DSP Juliana Obeng who was in charge of Public Affairs at the CID headquarters has been made Accra Regional Public Relations Officer.
