Former President John Dramani Mahama has said former President John Agyekum Kufour and late President John Evans Atta Mills did not abandon inherited projects, but under the leadership of Nana Akufo-Addo, most projects have been abandoned.
He said no president and his administration use their own pocket money to fund a project, therefore, Nana Akufo-Addo administration should continue inherited projects in the health sector, education, and roads to save money for the Country.
In an interview with GBC Sunrise in Koforidua as part of his Thank, you tour to the Eastern Region; Mr. John Dramani Mahama expressed worry over the failure of the current administration to recognize his administration projects which were commissioned by Nana Akufo-Addo.
He said former president John Agyekum Kufour started the number one highway in Accra but could not complete it before he left office and it was continued by and late President John Evans Atta Mills administration where he (John Mahama) was vice president and during the commissioning, former president John Agyekum Kufour was invited to the ceremony and was officially acknowledged.
Mr. John Mahama said the Bui Power projects was also started by former president John Agyekum Kufour but was completed by Mills/Mahama administration after the demise of John Evans Atta Mills but he (John Mahama) invited former president John Agyekum Kufour during the commissioning and he was officially acknowledged.
The former president said the cost of production keeps on increasing daily as well as the cost of awarding the contract; therefore, the government must continue to save money for other projects.
