Former Ghana striker Prince Tagoe believes Jordan Ayew has lost his confidence after failing to score against South Africa on Sunday.
The Crystal Palace forward has failed to score in over 40 matches for club and country.
He missed a glorious opportunity when Ghana defeated South Africa 1-0 to secure playoffs spots in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers at the Cape Coast stadium.
Tagoe reacting to Jordan Ayew’s goal drought noted he has lost his confidence and has therefore called on Ghanaians to support him to get back on track.
“On a normal day, Jordan Ayew would’ve buried that chance but I think he has completely lost his confidence. It’s clear that the criticisms have affected him but we need to support him to rediscover. He works hard in every game,”
Meanwhile, Jordan’s senior brother reached the 100th cap for the national team on Sunday.
