National Treasurer hopeful of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Madam Mary Posch Oduro last Saturday visited Mephibosheth Orphanage Home at Gomoa Apam in the Central Region to donate some items to the children.
The gesture was to support the home to cater for the children welfare as part of her window’s mite.
She used the opportunity to thank the leadership of the orphanage for the God sent job they are doing to assist the needy in our communities.
Madam Mary Posch Oduro again interacted with the children for them to feel that they are very precious and equally important as any other person staying with their parents or family members.
Speaking with the media, the National Treasurer hopeful emphasised that assisting the needy has been her project to intermittently, visit and donate to them and that Saturday’s event was one of such projects.
“At least my visit to them was to present my Christmas gifts to them.
I am therefore urging all wealthy persons in the country to remember some of these orphanage homes and extend to them what God has blessed them with. For I am very optimistic that whatever you give, Lord our God shall replenish in thousands of folds what you would lose or spend on them” she stressed.
“They need our support so let’s show them love in times like this.
To parents, I say when you have a special child, it is better you send him/her to the orphanage for him/her to be catered for by the professional hands”.
“Let us all remember to visit the orphanage for them to feel that they are also part of us” madam Posch Oduro added.
