Commercial transport bus drivers in the country have been asked to suspend their ongoing strike which began this morning.
This call follows an invitation to the leadership of the driver unions to a meeting with the President at the seat of government, Monday morning.
Commercial vehicle drivers today, December 6, refused to convey passengers to protest the recent fuel price increments.
Their action caused many commuters great difficulties to reach their workplaces and various destinations.
A current message from the Ghana Private Road Transport Union of TUC to striking drivers directs them to immediately resume normal duties.
A statement issued by the General Secretary, Godfred Abulbire, says the leadership of the Union has been invited to the Presidency to resolve the drivers’ concerns.
