Former Black Stars B captain Isaac Twum has showered praise on teenage sensation Abdul Fatawu Issahaku who is dazzling on his Ghana Premier League season.
The U20 Africa Cup of Nations best player has adapted quickly to the league and is dominating games.
He has been scoring goals, creating big chances and dribbling for fun and has subsequently become fans favourite in the domestic top-flight.
The former Steadfast FC star has bagged 5 goals so far after 6 6 matches into the Ghana Premier League campaign.
“Abdul Fatawu Issahaku is a fantastic player. At his age, he has got the opportunity to play for the Black Stars so I believe if we give him the confidence, he can go far. For now, he is the best player in the Ghana Premier League looking at the qualities he has shown” he told Koforidua-based Aben FM.
“I have watched his videos and I can tell you for a fact that he is on top in the league”
Issahaku since bursting onto the scene at U20 AFCON in Mauritania early this year has never looked back. He has continued to improve and is now an assured member of the Black Stars.
He has played two games since Milovan Rajevac took over and is almost certain that he will make the squad for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
The 17-year-old is said to have agreed a deal with Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon and will join them in January.
