The unpaid beneficiary of the Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) who reportedly died on Thursday evening at Akyem Tafo in the Eastern region left behind three children including a twin.
The sudden death of Georgina Frema has devastated the family.
Georgina Frema who was a NABCO beneficiary worked with the Zoomlion office in Abuakwa North Municipality.
She died after suffering a severe headache.
“Georgina Frema, a NABCO personnel working at the Zoomlion Abuakwa North Office in Tafo went to church yesterday evening. She closed from church, felt some headache which got serious deep in the night and was rushed to the hospital and was pronounced dead on arrival” a close source said.
Beneficiaries of the Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) flooded social media with concerns regarding unpaid allowance.
The agitations intensified a few weeks to the Christmas and New Year season but were not paid.
They claimed they have not been paid for four months making it difficult to attend to the needs of the families and themselves.
NABCO was introduced by the Akufo-Addo led administration in 2017 as part of measures to address graduate unemployment in the country.
The initiative was run under seven modules namely; Educate Ghana, Heal Ghana, Feed Ghana, Revenue Ghana, Digitize Ghana, Enterprise Ghana, and Civic Ghana.
