Black Stars and Dalian Yifang FC striker Emmanuel Boateng through the Emmanuel Boateng Foundation has paid an amount of GHC47,000 to cover the medical bills of twenty-five needy patients at the Eastern Regional Hospital, Koforidua.
The twenty-five are made up of children and the aged who have been discharged but are on detention since they are yet to settle their bills.
The former Levante attacker who was at the hospital on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, to interact with the patients handed over to each patient the amount due to them to set them free.
Speaking to Koforidua-based Bryt FM, the enterprising forward said giving back to society has been his priority, hence the decision to donate to patients at the Eastern Regional Hospital.
He promised to do more through his foundation in order to release some people from their burden.
“Emmanuel Boateng Foundation has been in existence for the past three years and it is our aim to do something in support of the society. Last year, we were at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital to do a similar thing and this time around we decided to go outside Accra and that is why we chose Koforidua”
“In total, we paid GHC47,000 to cover the bills of 25 people and we are looking forward to doing more for the society,” he said.
