The Board Chairman of Ghana Tourism Authority, Seth Agyei Baah also a former MP for Nkawkaw Constituency in the Eastern region, has reiterated the President Akufo-Addo led NPP government commitment to reviving the tourism sector after the novel COVID-19 pandemic and it’s damning effects on our nation.
He opines that his administration aims at discovering more tourist sites across the length and breath of our country and also develop existing scenes to attract more tourists both domestically and internationally to boost Ghana’s economy.
Hon. Agyei Baah made this disclosure when he led a high powered delegation from the Ghana Tourism Authority including; Mr. Akwasi Agyemang (CEO) to visit some tourism sites at Tanoboase and Buoryem in the Techiman North Constituency of Bono East Region.
For her part, Member of Parliament for Techiman North Constituency on the ticket of the NDC, Hon. Lawyer Elizabeth Ofosu Agyare who was a Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts during the President John Mahama administration said, despite being in opposition, she is poised to lobby for every possible development to her people especially in the area of tourism.
Meanwhile, Nana Agyei Ameyaw, Secretary of Buoryem Traditional Council and a Tour Guide pleaded with government to construct roads in Techiman North to make the tourist sites accessible and more attractive.
