Mr. Kofi Obeng-Mensah, a professional Pharmacist has formally declared his intentions to contest the Abuakwa North Constituency parliamentary primary in the Eastern Region on the ticket of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Mr. Kofi Obeng-Mensah, therefore, vowed to improve and empower the people within Abuakwa North constituency especially the youth.
Speaking shortly after donating items to complete a Police post at Akyem Anyinasin in the Abuakwa North Municipality an area prone to arm robbers, Mr. Kofi Obeng said, Abuakwa North after the sudden Death of J. B. Danquah-Adu have had a serious leadership challenge as far as a parliamentarian is concern as he believes the current MP, Gifty Twum-Ampofo has failed to deliver.
The items include two packets of roofing sheets, two boxes of nails, five bags of cement and huge sums of money to aid them to complete the said project.
According to him, his decision to contest is purely premised on the fact that the youth of Abuakwa North lack opportunity which purely falls within the purview of the MP and has expressed readiness to support the youth.
He said, beyond the excellent and marvelous deliveries of the Akufo-Addo’s led government, what has the Abuakwa North MP herself done for the constituency to compliment the effort of the president, he quizzed.
He affirmed that he was very certain delegates will vote for him as he sets sight on developing the area.
