Muyiwa, the man, revealed how he met her and why he chose her over other women in an interview with Afrimax.
He fell in love with the woman while trying to further his education in another African country after leaving his home country of Congo.
Thereza (85) is the landlady of the house Muyiwa and his friends rented, and this is where their love story began.
“I remember one Friday when my colleague wasn’t around, I was hungry and we had no food,” Muyiwa said of how he fell in love with her.
I was extremely frail.
And then the old lady appeared out of nowhere and brought me some food.
She came over and served me with excessive care.”
“The way she behaved and treated me made me fall in love with her.”
Despite the fact that she is an elderly woman who could be my grandmother, who cares?
“I adore her.”
“This is my decision, and this is my happiness.”
“Because everyone has one,” he added.
Thereza is a mother of eight children and twenty grandchildren; when it comes to her newfound love, she is willing to risk it all, despite the lack of support from her children.
“I am 85 years old.
I have eight children and twenty grandchildren.
My boyfriend could be my fifth grandchild based on his age.
He adores me, and I adore him as well.
“I am now ready to put on my wedding gown and ring,” she declared.
