The Public Relations Officer of the National School Feeding Caterers Association, Adizetu Amanuah Ankrah has called on the government to increase feeding grants to enable caterers to prepare food for the pupils.
Madam Ankrah in her request talked about how food prices have increased multiple times, yet the government still pays 97 pesewas per plate.
She affirmed that the current state of the economy makes it extremely difficult for them to continue cooking for the pupils and students in various schools.
Speaking to the press, Ankrah called on President Akufo-Addo to instruct the appropriate authorities to address their concerns immediately.
“We are pleading with Nana Akufo-Addo to come to our aid. He is our father,” she said.
Madam Ankrah pleaded for an increment in the school feeding grants following the skyrocketing prices of food items.
