The overturning of presidential election results is among options available to Kenya’s Supreme Court judges on Monday, but analysts say it is difficult to predict the court’s verdict.
The seven judges of the court retreated on Friday to consider their judgment after concluding days of hearing of consolidated petitions.
Their rulings are final and binding.
The defeated candidate Raila Odinga says the vote was manipulated to give his opponent William Ruto a narrow victory in the highly contested election.
Lawyers for Mr Ruto and the electoral commission deny the claims.
There are three possible outcomes of the case. The judges could either uphold Mr Ruto’s victory, or nullify the election results and order a re-run or declare victory to the petitioner, Mr Odinga.
Monday’s decision could also offer an opportunity to reform the country’s electoral laws.
