Fanteakwa Positive Action Group (FANPA), a pressure group in Fanteakwa North district in the Eastern Region has disclosed that the Member of Parliament for Fanteakwa North Constituency, Hon. Kwabena Amankwa Asiamah is not visible to his constituents.
According to FANPA, the lawmaker is only present on political platforms and election campaigns in the constituency.
The pressure group affirmed its aim to fight for Begoro and its environs to receive its share of the national cake as the lawmaker has a wide range of duties to perform to his constituents.
Alex Amfo-Boakye, the Executive Member of FANPA advised the lawmaker to be present at the constituency in order for the public to address the issues of constituents.
Mr Amfo-Boakye added that the MP represents all the people of Fanteakwa North not a few members of his political party, NPP.
Mr Amfo-Boakye suggested that the lawmaker must engage the various stakeholders on how to revive the education system by improving the performance of the students in the constituency.
In an interview with Nhyiraba Nartey Solomon of Bryt Fm, he urged the MP to be visible in the constituency and report the challenges of his constituents to Parliament for needed actions to be taken.
He said the lawmaker must seek to address concerns, issues, questions and ideas raised by the people he represents in Parliament, adding that the MP must have an office within the constituency to enable constituents to report directly to his office.
Mr Amfo-Boakye debunked rumours circulating that FANPA is an affiliated political group, indicating it is a non-partisan pressure group.
