The Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Samuel A. Jinapor has joined the President of the Republic, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on his 4-Day Ashanti Regional tour.
The visit which began on Sunday 16th October 2022 has so far seen the President, accompanied by the Lands Minister, visit the Central Command IDRIS Barracks, held meetings with the Ashanti Regional Security Council (RECSEC) engaged the security officers on the country’s security issues, sod cutting of Suame Road interchange among others.
Earlier on Tuesday, Hon. Jinapor spoke on a number of Kumasi-based radio stations, including Hello Fm, and Garden City Radio, touching on recent developments in the Lands and Natural Resources sector while warning individuals and groups engaging in illegal mining to as a matter of urgency desist from it.
The Hon. Minister is however expected to deliver a keynote address at the 5th Human Resource Conference of the Ghana Chamber of Mines, scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday 19th October 2022 at Anglogold Ashanti Obuasi Mine.
The Conference is intended to create a platform for the mining industry to celebrate achievements and highlight the challenges which confront the industry, employers and labour.
