The Municipal Chief Executive for the people of the West Akim of the Eastern Region, Hon. Beyeeman Seth Oduro Boadu has bemoaned the reckless nature of some commercial drivers who drive on top speed in his municipality.
The MCE says commercial must avoid the habit of relegating the safety of their lives and that of the passengers in exchange of self serving making quick monies during this yuletide.
He has therefore appealed to the drivers to ply with care in killing their speed during and after this Christmas and admonishes Christians to be vigilant in their celebrations.
Appreciating the performance of the cedi to the dollar and fall in fuel prices, the Hon. MCE finds it challenging why traders would not reciprocate the reality on their commodities or goods.
He humbly calls on the traders to to be religious and reduce the prices of their goods on the market .
Hon. Beyeeman Seth Oduro Boadu earlier demonstrated his utility or satisfaction in the productivity level or performance of the municipal assembly over the year , and attributed the success chalked to the able leadership of HE. President Nana Addo and Dr. Bawumia led NPP administration .
The MCE made these remarks during a staff durbar of the assembly where he took the chance to honour some of the assembly employees to inspire the future.
