The Koforidua Office of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has registered two thousand, seven hundred and eighty-eight (2788) vehicles in 2022 in the Eastern region.
The data by the DVLA includes; motor circles, motor tricycles and private and commercial cars.
The DVLA registered eight hundred and two (802) motor circles, six hundred and sixteen (616) motor tricycles, four hundred and fifty-two (452) commercial vehicles and nine hundred and eighteen (918) private vehicles in 2022.
The office however, predicted decline in the numbers of registration in 2023 due the low purchase of vehicles this year.
Mr Oduro Awuku Nathaniel, the Executive Officer of the DVLA at the Eastern Regional Office made the revelation to Nhyiraba Nartey Solomon of Bryt fm in an exclusive interview on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the Eastern Regional Manager of the DVLA, Mr. Sylvanus Markwei also affirmed that the DVLA is working hard to improve its services for Ghanaians in 2023.
Mr. Sylvanus Markwei commended all clients of the DVLA for their patience and support in 2022 and hoped for the best this year.
