Director Logistics at the Ghana National Fire Service, DCFO Heroine Sekyere-Boakye, paid a one-day working visit to the North East Region to inspect a proposed site for the construction of the Fire Academy and Training School (FATS).
She was accompanied by the Director of Finance, DCFO Mark Brako-Appiah Jnr, DO I Oscar Amalartey, Assistant Director in charge of Estate, DO III Benjamin Ofori, Deputy in charge of Estate as well as Civilian Guests in the persons of Nana Osei Tutu, a consultant and Alhaji Bukari Hamidu, a Contractor.
The Regional Fire Officer, ACFO II Stanley Nusetor-Elikplim together with the Regional Minister Hon. Yidana Zakaria and the MCE of West Mamprusi Municipality warmly welcomed them and later paid a courtesy call on the Paramount Chief of the Wungu Traditional Area, HRM Suleman Saaka where the site is located.
The chiefs and people of Wungu expressed their excitement for such a developmental initiative and pledged their support.

The traditional leaders together with the Municipal Assembly Authorities led the team to inspect the proposed site.
