Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, a potential New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, claims that the party’s loss of numerous seats in the Central Region during the most recent elections was caused by division.
According to his diagnosis, the NPP is always promised a “huge” victory across the nation, but the opposite is true when there is discord.
The Central Region chapter of the party organized a reconciliation engagement to settle issues prior to the 2024 elections, which pleased the Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP).
The politician said that the majority of the seats were lost as a result of disagreement from the primaries leading up to the 2020 elections in remarks made on the eve of the engagement, which had as its theme “Reconciling the Rank and File of the New Patriotic Party, the Central Region.”
“There was no unity because some campaigned against their fellow party members to lose, “These things must stop,” he said.
