The Minister for Health, Hon. Kwaku Agyeman-Manu (MP) received the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Mr. Lu Kun and some officials of the Chinese Embassy in Ghana, on Thursday, January 19, 2023. The meeting which took place at the Ministry was meant to discuss happenings in the Health Sector.
Hon. Kwaku Agyeman-Manu in his welcome statement thanked H.E. Kun for the visit and acknowledged the Chinese Government’s support for Ghana over the years.
He further gave an overview of Ghana’s Health Sector reforms as well as initiatives the Government is currently implementing to ensure that Ghana has a sustainable healthy population for national development, to contribute to socio–economic development and the development of the local health industry by promoting health and vitality through access to quality health for all people living in Ghana using motivated personnel.
The Ambassador on his part assured the Hon. Minister of the Chinese Government’s commitment to supporting Ghana’s Health Sector and look forward to the review of the COVID-19 restriction.
He further thanked the Hon. Minister for the warm reception and hoped for future dialogue.
