Chief Justice of Ghana, His Lordship Akwasi Annin Yeboah, has admonished litigating parties to resort to the Alternative Dispute Resolution(ADR) in addressing matters to reduce pressure and delay of cases in courts.
Chief Justice Annin Yeboah was speaking during the commissioning of a District Court Complex at Ngleshie Amanfrom in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra region.
He indicated Ghana’s judicial system remains steadfast in its resolve to build a justice system that ensures efficient and timely delivery.
He added that working environments must only not be conducive but represent a true avenue for justice delivery.
According to him, the commissioning of the complex forms part of the vision to bring justice to the doorstep of the ordinary Ghanaian.
He, however, entreated litigant parties to rely on Alternative Dispute Resolution where applicable describing it as faster, cheaper and less acrimonious.
Meanwhile, Chief of Ngleshie-Amanfrom Nii Kwashie – Gbolor have expressed delight in the establishment of the court as according to him, will help mitigate rising land guards and other related criminal activities in the area.
