Some traders in the Eastern regional Capital have demonstrated against New Juaben South municipal assembly over high ticket prices.
According to the aggrieved traders, they have been paying huge amount to the assembly over years.
The demonstrating traders went to the Omanhene of the New Juaben Traditional Area, Daasebre Kwaku Boateng III and the Municipal Chief Executive for Juaben South Municipality, Mr Isaac Apau-Gyasi to take immediate action against what is going on at the market.
“We are paying huge amount of money just for tickets and that is collapsing businesses in this economic crisis era,’’ they said.
“Some of us pay 150ghc, others pay 120ghc and some pay less without a ticket receipt,’’ the traders told Bryt FM’s Nhyiraba Nartey Solomon after the demonstration.
They disclosed that they pay less amount when they go to some areas for trading, hence the authorities need to for authorities to act now.
Meanwhile, the Omanhene of the New Juaben traditional area, Daasebre Kwaku Boateng III and the Municipal Chief Executive for Juaben South Municipality assured the aggrieved traders to solve the issues at hand.
