The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) is living its vision of giving hope to young Ghanaians, who are full of energy and talent.
In spite of the current economic situation Ghana finds itself, the YEA has been able to assemble, train and pass out over 5,000 young men and women at various training depots across the country.
YEA is not only training them to provide assistance to the Ghana Police Service in protecting our communities, but also to offer them timely paid decent jobs that will ease their dependency on families.
The heavy joy that comes with this is equally because as an Agency, we have successfully recruited about 17,000 beneficiaries since my assumption of office in August 2022, which are 6,000 Community Health Assistants, first batch of 5,100 Community Protection Assistants, 500 Prison Office Assistants and today’s addition of the second batch of 5,400 Community Protection Assistants.
According to the YEA, “I am also excited to say that, not a single monthly allowance is outstanding. We are up to date with payments of monthly allowances to beneficiaries with all outstanding arrears cleared”.
