As part of hardworking Member of Parliament for Kwahu Afram Plains North plans to extend electricity to hard-to-reach communities in the Afram Plains North constituency together with the Kwahu Afram North District Assembly has pledged to work hard to make it a reality.
The MP and the Assembly received a group of engineers led by Engineer Seth Mawu, from the Ministry of Energy, who are to extend solar Mini-grids and solar systems to some 96 communities in the constituency.
It has become necessary as it will be difficult to connect those communities to the national grid due to their geographical location.
According to the MP, Betty Krosbi Mensah, “My letters to the Ministry received great recognition and today, I am happy to announce to the good people of Afram Plains North that two weeks of feasibility studies have been done and very soon Solar Mini-grid and Solar Home Systems will be extended to 96 communities in the constituency”.
According to the MP, her outfit would closely be working together with the District Assembly to extend this to the communities as they are on course-breaking barriers and building a future together for constituents.
