Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan has backed Ernest Nuamah to attain greater height of his career after explosive display for the Black Meteors.
The 19-year-old put up an impressive performance as the Black Meteors defeated Algeria to qualify for the U-23 AFCON to be staged in Morocco.
Abdul Fatawu Issahaku netted the winner after connecting from Nuamah’s assist as the Black Meteors completed a 2-1 aggregate win to earn their place in Morocco.
After the game, the all-time topscorer for Ghana took to social media to eulogize Nuamah.
“Another next big thing for Ghana. Check out the jersey number his is wearing” he tweeted.
The Africa U23 Cup of Nations will begin on June 23 and end on July 8.
Ghana has failed to qualify for the Olympic Games since 2004 and will hope to break the jinx this time around.
The 2024 Olympic Games will be staged in Paris.
