The District Chief Executive for Asuogyaman, Mr. Samuel Kwame Agyekum has joined the chief and people of Akwamu Adumasa to officially commission a 6-unit classroom block for pupils of Adumasa Presbyterian Primary school.
The ultra modern facility was commissioned on Wednesday April 5, 2023 at a short ceremony on the school park.
Prior to the commissioning, pupils and teachers were having classes in an old school block without doors and windows.
Meanwhile, the provision of the facility has lifted the image of the school which is patronise by children from neighbouring communities.
Oyiakahyire Nana Ansah Kwao IV in an interview with FAYA News expressed gratitude to the Assembly for the provision of the school building and was optimistic would go a long way to improve the quality of education in the area.
The chief assured that his outfit would continue to invest in the education of children and called on the government and other stakeholders to come on board and assist in many other projects to improve the livelihood of the people in the area.
He also appealed to government to construct the Akosombo-Gyakiti road to do away with many challenges of road users and farmers who want to transport their farm produce to market centres at Akosombo, Sapor or Marine to sell.
Oyiakahyire Nana Ansah Kwao IV used the opportunity to invite all citizens and the geneal public to join the people of Adumasa for this year’s Easter festivities, especially with regards to the much awaited Konkonte Party.
Residents and pupils of the community commended authorities for the intervention and also added their voices to that of the chief to have the poor road network fixed as soon as possible.
