Hon. K.T Hammond, the Minister for Trade and Industry, today visited the Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA) to engage its leadership team and general staff.
During his visit, Hon. K.T Hammond shared his vision and strategies for achieving the objectives whilst recognizing the GFZA’s significant contribution to the country’s economy over the years.
He also praised the GFZA for ensuring that foreign direct investments remain a strong pillar of the economy.
Ambassador Mike Ocquaye Jnr hosted the Minister and his entourage and expressed his appreciation for the visit.
He assured the Minister of the Authority’s commitment to sustaining its gains and supporting the government in managing the economy.
The Minister was accompanied by Hon. Michael Okyere Baafi, a Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Mr. Patrick Nimo, the Chief Director of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Mr. Michael Opoku, the Head of Policy Planning Monitoring and Evaluation at the Ministry, Mr. Prince Boakye, the Head of Communications and Advocacy of the Ministry, and Mrs. Stella Ansah, the Head of the team responsible for SMEs.
The Deputy Chief Executive (Finance and Administration), Mrs. Kate Abbeo, and all department directors of the Authority were present to receive the Minister and his entourage.
