Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, a member of parliament for North Tongu and the minority foreign affairs spokesperson, has requested that President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo dismiss the National Cathedral’s board of trustees right away.
He is also requesting the formation of a Board of Inquiry to look into the embezzlement that has occurred since the government decided to build a National Cathedral.
Speaking on Okay FM’s “Ade Akye Abia” show, he further urged the government to recoup funds that had been improperly paid to individuals who had unjustly benefited from earnings intended for the National Cathedral’s construction.
He asserted that given the various controversies surrounding the National Cathedral’s construction, the Board of Trustees should also, out of respect, retire in order to protect their reputation from further tarnishment.
“I will further in the coming days reveal more scandals I have personally investigated, and it is more damning than what I have revealed so far,” he added.
