Mr. Anorkye Agyapong, formerly with the Ghana Education Service in the Denkyembour district of the Eastern region has been declared wanted.
The former GES staff has been missing in action as his whereabout remains unknown after series of complaints were made against him for his alleged criminal activities.
The District Director of Education disclosing this to Kwabena Nyarko Abronoma, called on the general public to help in arresting the former staff for his involvement in dubious and illegal activities.
Background
The dubious activities of Mr. Anorkye Agyapong came to the limelight upon failing to secure recruitment for one of his victim, Diana Oforiwa Obeng after taking Ghc3,000 from her over two years ago.
In an intercepted audio, the suspect pledged to refund the money should he fail to get the victim recruited into the GES but has failed to oblige by that.
According to the victim, several persuasions to get back her money has proven futile as the suspect keeps postponing his promises anytime the time draws near.
However, Mr. Agyapong in a recorded phone interview with the reporter in early February assured that postings would be released on the 15th February, 2023 and that he would refund the money should he fail to get the appointment for his victim.
But since then, the suspect has refused to secure the appointment, failed to respond to phone calls as well as failed to refund the money as earlier promised.
Revelations
Meanwhile, the Denkyembour District Education Director also made wild allegations against Mr. Agyapong of his involvement in security services recruitment scams among many others.
He revealed that Mr. Agyapong has since the public knowledge of his dubious activities has vacated his post and has therefore been declared wanted per the many allegations against him.
“There are a lot of allegations against him including, police and army recruitment cases. So I have expelled him from the services but he is no where to be found”.
“So please just arrest him wherever you find him. He is now declared wanted” the Education Director told the reporter.
Attatched are the audios of conversations between the suspect, Mr. Anorkye Agyapong and the victim, Diana Oforiwa Obeng as well as the reporter, Kwabena Nyarko Abronoma on his (suspects) pledge to refund the money.
Also, are the whatsapp chats between the suspect and the victim as proof of evidence.
