Director of Health Promotion at the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Aboagye Dacosta was one of the main speakers at the 24th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Health Ministers of ECOWAS in Bissau, Guinea Bissau.
As President of the ECOWAS RCCE, he chaired the last event of the development partners forum and advocated for more resources to support community health, health promotion, and human resources for health within the ECOWAS region.
Also at the partners meeting, Dr. Dacosta made a presentation on behalf of the Diaspora Forum on an environmentally friendly solar-powered oxygen production project, jointly sponsored by Diaspora Forum, Johns Hopkins University and American Society of Critical Medicine and being implemented in some hospitals in the Gambia, Sierra Leone and Liberia.
Participants also had a meeting with the President of Guinea Bissau and Chairman of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of ECOWAS, H.E. Umaro Sissoco Embaló .
