One of the students of Osino Presby Senior High School involved in the fatal crash last Friday at Obregyima near Teacher Mante on Accra to Kumasi highway ,needs emergency surgery but there is no bed at Korle But Teaching Hospital to admit the student for the life saving medical intervention therefore was still lying at Nsawam government hospital.
Member of Parliament for Fanteakwa South Hon Kofi Okyere Agyekum has called on Minister of Health and the Director General of Ghana Health Service to intervene.
The MP has meanwhile visited some of the victims referred to the Eastern Regional Hospital for further treatment due to the critical nature of their condition.
Two students of Osino Presbyterian Senior High Technical School in Fanteakwa South District of Eastern region died in fatal crash on June 2,2023.
Over 11 other students were seriously inured.
The students were aboard a Nissan minibus with the registration number GG-2071-21 returning home for a mid-term break.
According to eyewitnesses,a front tyre of the speeding vehicle bursted but the driver attempted to apply the brakes causing the vehicle to somersault.
Two students- Ruth Ayeh and Anordjan Florence lost their lives instantly.
The bodies of the deceased students sent to the Nsawam mortuary, while the other injured students are receiving were admitted at Nsawam government hospital but some with critical conditions referred to Eastern Regional Hospital.
