The National Health Insurance Authority ( NHIA), as part of its initiative to enrol corporate bodies on the National Health Insurance scheme (NHIS), have signed up management and staff of the Electricity Company of Ghana.
The exercise which lasted 4 days, saw staff of ECG headoffice, Project Office, Accra West office, and the Accra East office enrolled on to the Scheme.
The NHIA team sensitized ECG staff and other patrons of the scheme on the benefit package, medicines list and urged them to replicate this gesture by registering family and friends using the MyNHIS mobile App.
Staff who took turns to register for the first time, renew and also link their NHIS cards to the Ghana Card commended the NHIA for this initiative.
The special corporate registration exercise is organized by the Corporate Affairs directorate in collaboration with the Membership and Regional Operations unit of the NHIA.
The goal is to increase the NHIS active membership with an ultimate objective geared towards attaining Universal Health Coverage (UHC) by the year 2030.
